Dr. Inica Quilliam - Chiropractor & Founding Practitioner
Dr. Inica Quilliam
With more than 25 years of clinical experience, Dr Inica Quilliam takes a gentle, whole-body approach to chiropractic care, recognising that the body’s systems are deeply interconnected and that good health depends on more than treating an isolated symptom.
Inica graduated from RMIT University in 1999 and has practised across Melbourne, the Latrobe Valley and Geelong, before making Tasmania home in 2021. She established State of Balance in Geelong in 2016 and has continued to develop her vision for a different kind of health practice since moving to the Huon Valley.
A low-force, gentle neurological approach
Her chiropractic care is based on the Neuro-Impulse Protocol (NIP), a gentle neurological approach that looks beyond the spine to understand how the brain, nervous system, muscles and joints work together. Rather than relying on forceful manipulation or the traditional “cracking” often associated with chiropractic, Inica uses precise, low-force impulses to support the nervous system and encourage more balanced movement and function.
Caring for people at every stage of life
Dr. Inica has extensive experience caring for people at every stage of life, from babies and children through to older adults. She particularly enjoys working with children, using a gentle, age-appropriate approach that respects their individual needs and helps them feel comfortable and at ease. She works closely with families to support children’s healthy movement and development, helping them feel confident and comfortable in their bodies as they grow.
Understanding Women’s Health
Alongside her broad clinical experience, Inica has developed a particular interest in women’s health.
Her postgraduate study in women’s health has broadened her understanding of the changing needs of women through the reproductive years, perimenopause and beyond. She is especially interested in helping women understand the many factors that influence how they feel and function, from hormones and nutrition to movement, stress, sleep and nervous system health.
